Story

In July 2025, I have challenged myself to take on the Thames Path Mighty Hike to help raise money for people living with cancer.

I lost my sister to Cancer in 2019, she was 37 years old. The Macmillan Nurses who cared for her did an absolute fantastic job, even going above and beyond in arranging a mini Disney party for her in the ward as she missed out on going to Disneyland with her two children due to her being too ill. They were also fantastic with her husband, children, me, my brother and my parents - without their support this situation would have been so much harder to deal with.

I'd be so grateful if you could help me reach my £250 pledge, which can pay for Macmillan Nurse for one day. This could provide people living with cancer and their families essential medical, practical and emotional support.

There are currently 3 million people living with cancer in the UK today. It's Macmillan's goal to be there for everyone from the moment of diagnosis, but they can't do this without donations from people like you.

Thank you!
