Story
------ Revival of the life everyone deserves to live. Collective Aid is dedicated to providing humanitarian aid and essential services to people on the move ------
*Event #1: Tattoo Raffle in Washington DC*
Our WASH services provide hygienic care to those living in unsanitary rough conditions extending the longevity of the items we distribute throughout the year. In addition, providing free laundry for people on the move allows a more sustainable and closed-circle economy for our non-food items.
Over a week, those in the nearby region will have a chance to win a free tattoo by a local neo-surrealist tattoo artist!
*Event #2: International Day of Innocent Children, Victims of Aggression Commemoration:*
Painting and Cultural Sharing Session in the WASH Centre
The day's purpose is to acknowledge the pain suffered by children worldwide who are the victims of physical, mental, and emotional abuse. With the rising number of children on the move, a space to build solidarity remains prudent as an access point to establish community and relief.
#TeaTime will be a 5-hour-long freedom of expression session for individuals who live in unstable conditions, consistently facing forced evictions and lingering psychological torture. Anyone interested will enjoy painting and the ability to communicate with one another without fear of brutality.

*Event #3: Walk the Fences*
Our team and other local NGOs in Calais will walk the 65 km perimeter of the Frontex fences set up around the city in resistance to the fortification of the border. We will be posting live updates online on our Instagram page @collectiveaidorg, and you can join us and walk in solidarity from wherever you are!
Log in the kilometres you walked, ran, or cycled, post it online and tag us.
The 65 km walk along the fences is incomparable to the distances people on the move travel in search of safety, mostly on foot. These militarized fences symbolise a lack of access to safe routes, lack of support to communities in need of refuge, and we walk in solidarity to resist the anti-migration policies surrounding Europe!
*Event #4: Sorting Race Live-Stream and Auction!*
Join our 12-hour live stream! A warehouse is essential to operating and distributing all of the NFI to those in need. Warehouse marathon day will describe the ongoings of how we conduct our work—living a life in the day as a member of the CA family in Calais. Take an inside look at the severity of daily situations and ways to get involved. Make sure you follow us on Instagram to watch the livestream!
Get Excited!
We will auction a portion of the warehouse in honour of the highest bidder! <3
*Event #5: Live-Stream Mural Painting and Interview With Special Guests*
Join us on Instagram @collectiveaidorg for a 5-hour-long live-stream painting session of our office with the local organization CamCrag.
During the painting, we will also be connecting with three guest speakers to share insight on what life on the move is like in Europe today, sharing knowledge on the realities of working in the sector, and what we can do to make a change and end the injustices faced by people searching for safety and stability.
