Story
I want to help raise awareness of ADHD as my son, Oscar is currently on a waiting list to be assessed and diagnosed. Oscar faces many challenges daily, especially at school.
The Umbrella Project by the ADHD Foundation helps to raise awareness and understanding of neurodiversity. As well as in-depth teacher training, colourful umbrellas are strung together in the school to create a unique visual display. Each display is designed to represent the one in five of us who have a neurodevelopmental condition, such as ADHD, Autism, Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, Dyscalculia or Tourette’s syndrome. These conditions fall under the umbrella term of neurodiversity.
Starting on Friday 16th June, I will take on the Goggins Challenge 4 x 4 x 48 (Run 4 miles every 4 hours for 48 hours).
Any donations would be gratefully received.
