Glasgow Kiltwalk 2025 · 26 April 2025 to 27 April 2025 ·
On the weekend of Lyra's first birthday, we are taking part in the Kiltwalk to raise funds for two of the amazing charities that have supported us through her numerous hospital stays, open heart surgery and her diagnosis of Down Syndrome.
Friends and family are joining us across the Mighty Stride and Wee Wander, and we (Kerri and Andrew) are going to carry Lyra with us on the 23 mile Mighty Stride!
Glasgow Children's Hospital Charity help the babies, children and young people treated at Scotland's largest children's hospital, the Royal Hospital for Children, Glasgow. They fund medical equipment, research, play programmes and family support services to ensure that the young patients receive the best possible care and experience.
Down’s Syndrome Scotland support people with Down’s syndrome, their families and their carers. They also support professionals who work with people with Down’s syndrome in health, social care and education. They are the only charity in Scotland dedicated solely to supporting people with Down’s syndrome and their families and carers.
Down's Syndrome Scotland's mission is to help everyone they work with to reach their fullest potential through their different services, to celebrate that potential, and influence public policy through calling out inequality when they see it.
