Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
On Sunday 28th May 2023, once again, I will be taking on the Ride London-Essex 100 and cycling 100 miles for Dementia UK. Dementia UK is the specialist dementia nurse charity. Their nurses, called Admiral Nurses, provide life-changing care to families affected by all forms of dementia, including Alzheimers disease.
Many of you will know, Dementia and Alzheimers has been a heart breaking challenge in the lives of my family and I for over 4 years. Mum had Dementia and Alzheimers and Dad had Alzheimers. Sadly both Mum and Dad lost their battles with these cruel diseases in the last 12 months.
These are unforgiving illnesses that draw cruelly on the quality of life of all those that fall ill with it. Whilst there are moments of relief and of course humour, the dark truth is its like losing your parents while they're actually still here. ... Take a moment to let that sink in and image how hard it is for those that suffer it!
Your donation, large or small, will contribute to making these difficult lives more bearable. Please dig deep and help me raise as much as possible for a great cause.
In memory of my much missed parents Dig & Jean, my family and all those affected by these illnesses, Thank You!!
