Story
This is Hope’s 50th Anniversary cycle ride challenge, and it is set to be a fantastic event. This will be our 6th Ride for Hope Challenge and probably the most challenging yet. We first got involved back in 2016 when Colin helped them with the conversion of a building into a training centre.
The route is a classic and iconic ride from Portsmouth to Le Havre and onto Paris. To reach there Colin will be cycling all the way from Northampton (a total of 330 miles over 4 days) and Liz will be cycling from Richmond (around 240 miles over 3 days).
It will be a tough but beautiful ride with the usual mix of fun, food, friendship and fundraising.
Up to 50 of us are aiming to raise £50,000 so your support will be hugely appreciated and every penny donated will go to the Hope Centre.
The money raised from the challenge will support people facing homelessness and hardship. Hope has recently successfully supported people rough-sleeping with a temporary winter night shelter, with feedback from residents being overwhelming.
