Story
Thank you for visiting my JustGiving page in aid of the National Trust Plant 20 million trees by 2030.
With your help I'm aiming to raise £1,000 which is enough to plant 1000 square meters of woodland to help fight climate change and improve our environment. All I have to do is swim the length of lake Windermere. It will probably take me around 7 hours and my arms, after about 8,000 rotations, probably won't work for a week afterwards.
Trees do so much to improve our lives. They are home to thousands of species of wildlife, they help to purify the air by taking in carbon dioxide and providing us with oxygen. Trees and being in nature is essential for our mental health and wellbeing. Currently tree coverage has increased to 13% of the UK, however this is still so much lower than the European average.
We can all do something to leave the world in a better place for future generations.
