Story
In August I’ll be riding from Edinburgh to Whitley Bay over 3 days a total of 190miles to raise money for the Neonatal Unit, please read my story below
8 years ago my twin boys were born 12 weeks early only weighing 2lb7oz and 2lb 12oz and spent nearly 10weeks in the Neonatal Unit at JCUH.
Due to the care and dedication from all the staff within the unit both Ted and Oscar are now healthy boys with active lives playing rugby and other sports.
The time spent in the unit as a parent is both stressful and worrying, but seeing how the nursing, healthcare and medical team look after and care for every child on the unit and support the parents made our journey and experience of the unit very reassuring that they were in safe hands when we weren’t with the boys.
I am raising money as while we were in the unit we realised how much the unit relies on charity donations.
The average cost to support a child in the unit is approximately £2,500 per day, I’m aiming to raise £1,000.00 for this charity so please help me by making a donation.
Many thanks for your support.
