Running the London Marathon 2025 for Brain Tumour Research and Brain Power

Fundraising for Brain Tumour Research
On April 27th, 2025, I’ll be taking on my 3rd (and final!) London Marathon, and once again, it’s for a deeply personal cause.
My journey started in 2019 when I ran my first marathon after my Mum was diagnosed with a brain tumour the year before. I promised her I would run one more and after training the 2020 marathon it was cancelled. I eventually ran my second marathon in 2023 but sadly without my Mum at the finish line.
In 2024 we sadly lost two very dear friends to brain tumours. Their courage and strength have inspired me to push myself to run again - even though I thought my marathon days were behind me. As you will know, I’m not exactly built for running, making this another very painful challenge.
I’m also running to support my amazing friend Glenn Campbell, who has been diagnosed with an incurable brain tumour. Despite facing his own challenges, Glenn has founded Brain Power, a remarkable initiative raising vital funds for Brain Tumour Research to build a Centre of Excellence in Scotland. His determination and the loss of two friends, has inspired me to join this year’s Brain Tumour Research Marathon Team with the Brain Power Team.
Brain tumours are one of the most underfunded areas of cancer research, yet they profoundly impact so many lives. By coming together and supporting this cause, we can help fund the breakthroughs needed to improve treatments and, one day, find a cure.
I’m truly honored to run in memory of my friends and alongside Glenn in his mission. Every donation, no matter the size, brings us closer to a world without brain tumours.
👉 Please donate to my fundraising page and help turn heartbreak into hope.
I am looking to raise £4,000 to reach a total of £20,000 over the 3 marathons. Please help me reach this total which will fund 7 full days of research in the specialist BTR Centre.
Thank you so much for your kindness and support - it really means the world to me.
