Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. I’m half way to completing the Abbott Six World Marathon Majors. London, NYC and Chicago already done. Berlin, Boston and Tokyo still to go.
I'm running the 2024 Berlin Marathon to support the work of the MS Society. This is a cause close to my heart as we lost my Uncle David to this illness in 2012 and it continues to affect others we care about.
Multiple sclerosis (MS) is an unpredictable condition that affects your brain and spinal cord. In MS, the coating that protects your nerves (myelin) is damaged. This causes a range of symptoms like blurred vision and problems with how we move, think and feel.
More than 130,000 people in the UK have MS. Once diagnosed, MS stays with you for life, but treatments and specialists can help you to manage the condition and its symptoms.
The MS Society is here to help everyone live well with MS.
Every year they reach thousands of people with help and support through their MS Helpline and local groups. They campaign on the issues that matter most to the MS community. And they invest in ground-breaking research to stop MS in its tracks.
Together, we are strong enough to stop MS.
Any donation would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Colin
