Chris's fundraiser for Action Medical Research

Catalyst 2025 · 8 May 2025 to 10 May 2025 · Start fundraising for this event
This year I've decided to raise money for AMR. It's a great group of people that I've been lucky enough to meet through combining my love of cycling with my ever expanding networking skills. Whilst working with them to organise a cycling event last year, I got to see first hand the amazing fundraising work they do but also the impacts they have on preventing truly horrible diseases in children.
I've decided to put myself through the wringer and complete a 250-mile, multiday epic going from London to Bruges to help fundraise for a cause that provides medical treatment and support for sick children and their families. Read through the stories of AMR and the people they help, then you can help me support them!
Action Medical Research are the leading UK charity dedicated to funding vital research to help sick and disabled babies, children and young people. Action have been funding medical breakthroughs for 70 years now and have helped to beat polio, fight meningitis, prevent stillbirths and develop ultrasound scanning in pregnancy. They are now driving forward children's research, including in the fight against premature birth and rare diseases.
Our cycling networking tour Catalyst will see around 40 riders cycle from Cambridge to Bruges across three days. The riders will take on some of iconic Belgian roads and Murs that will really test the legs.
By donating money for this incredible charity, you are helping to find ways to reduce premature birth, to support children facing a lifetime of challenges caused by disabilities, and to develop cutting-edge therapies for rare and incurable diseases. With your help we're determined to make a real change to children's lives.
