This event is dedicated to raising awareness and funds for Diabetes UK. When a young child was diagnosed with diabetes at just two years of age, their family felt compelled to take action. Inspired by this challenge, the child's father and grandfather, who is also the chairman of a local football club, decided to organise an event that would not only support this vital charity but also bring the community together.

The event, titled "Let's Kick Diabetes Football Match," will take place on May 5th, 2025, at the fantastic facilities of the 1st Cloud Arena, home of South Shields FC. The match will feature a special lineup: a Chairman's XI managed by the grandfather and a Jude's XI managed by the father. We are excited to announce that several former celebrity players will be joining us for this memorable occasion.

In a unique twist, all players will wear personalised shirts featuring the charity logo on their kits in both home & away team colours. This visual representation serves as a powerful reminder of our collective fight against diabetes.
