Dunelm Christmas Gift Appeal, 25 December 2022
Please help 'deliver joy' by donating a gift to a patient in hospital this Christmas! Dunelm Mill, Torquay is partnering with the Torbay and South Devon NHS Charity to ensure every patient in hospital receives a gift on Christmas Day.

Story

Clyde and Co are looking to partner up with Dunelm's 'Delivering Joy' charitable campaign which partners with local schools, care homes, hospitals and refuges to make sure that all children and folk receive a gift this year.

The appeal comes as more people and more people across the nation are struggling to make ends meet in daily life due to the cost-of-living crisis.

The 'Delivering Joy' scheme involves visiting you a local Dunelm store, collecting a pre-written tag from the Christmas tree. The tag states what type of present the person would like to receive. You would then take the tag home, purchase the item which has been requested on the tag and return the gift to any qualifying Dunelm store before December 11th 2022.

Clyde and Co colleagues can either decide to donate directly to the cause on this JustGiving page and your donations will directly go towards the campaign. In this instance, you can donate directly to the JustGiving page, and it will go to the nominated charity. Please note, Clyde and Co will also match our donations up to £1500 so let's try and raise as much as possible 😊 Additionally, we will be fundraising money in the office and any extra money raised will go directly to local Dunelm store in order to further their 'Delivering Joy' campaign and enable them to buy even more presents.

Alternatively, you can go into your local Dunelm store yourselves, pick up a tag, purchase the item and return to Dunelm with the gift. The most wanted items amongst children and adults were a hat, scarves and gloves, while chocolate for children and toiletries for adults were also highly requested.

A nominated Clyde and Co representative (Sarah Jane Taylor) will also be going into Dunelm stores to collect tags to distribute to colleagues (who can sign up to the initiative through the sign-up sheet. You will then receive your tag from the Clyde and Co representative. It is then up to you to go out and purchase the gift mentioned on the tag and then go to your local Dunelm store to donate the gift. For those who want to get involved in this way, the sign-up sheet will be circulated shortly. If you prefer, you can also email Sarah and request a tag.

Whichever way you decide to get involved in the campaign, whether it is through donations, or handing in presents yourselves, you are bringing joy to someone nearby at Christmas. This is because every person who receives your gift is a local resident!

Please note Dunelm has requested that all gifts and donations are to be received either in-store or online by December 11th 2022. This is so it gives them enough time to distribute the donated presents and use contributions raised to buy more Christmas presents for those in need before Christmas day.

Please contact our Clyde and Co project representative sarahjane.taylor@clydeco.com if you have any questions or would like to request a tag.
