Story
Last March we completed our first sleep-out in support of Roundabout Sheffield. They are South Yorkshire’s youth housing charity providing shelter, support and life skills to young people aged 16-25 who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. So this year we are back for Sleepout number 2 to help them in their fight to end youth homelessness in South Yorkshire.
We managed to raise an incredible £1600 last year and would love to match that or possibly beat it this year. The sleepout will be taking place on Friday 22nd March 2024. It entails us spending the night outside, with just a sleeping bag, pillow, and a cardboard mattress. Soup and water will provide our tea. Again we are hosting this at Clowne Town Cricket Club and thank them for the use of the facility.
Roundabout supports over 350 young people aged 16-25 every day. Alongside providing emergency accommodation in our hostel, we support young people in residential projects in Sheffield and Rotherham and provide key services delivering comprehensive programmes of training, involvement and empowerment to help to prepare young people for independent living.
We know many of you sponsored us last year and were incredibly grateful for that but if you feel that you can do so again no matter how big or small then it would be enormously appreciated.
Much Love
