Dorset Health Care Closer2Home team, young people, their family and friends will be climbing the equivalent of the height of Snowdown at an indoor climbing wall in one day., 31 May 2024
We care for people across Dorset to improve physical and mental health.

Story

We are raising funds to enable us to continue running our climbing group which offers young people in Dorset, who have struggled with their mental health, the opportunity to climb weekly with a trained coach, a member of staff from the Closer2Home team and the Dorset Mental Health Forum for free.

Climbing is a great way to develop confidence and self esteem, problem solving, social skills, sensory processing, self regulation to name but a few of its benefits!!

Any additional funds raised in excess of the need of the project will be used to support young people in Dorset with Mental health difficulties to access physical activity groups.
