In August 2024, our club obtained planning permission to demolish the redundant Council workshop adjacent to our tennis courts and replace with a modular building with full services. Oswestry Team Tennis better known as OTT is a registered charity and a LTA registered club is based in Cae Glas Park. We have already raised an amazing103k towards our new clubhouse costing 107k so we need just 4k to achieve the funding necessary for our clubhouse project to go ahead.

This project actually goes back to 2015 when the idea emerged from Mike Markham our Head Coach who sadly died of cancer in 2018, and left an amazing legacy of 20k to the club to fulfil his dream. The clubhouse will enable us to be an even more key part of our community in bringing people together, improve social interaction and encourage all ages and abilities to play tennis, and have fun on and off court. We are the last tennis club in Shropshire not to have a clubhouse.

Following the success of his previous two sponsored walks around the Anglesey coastal path and ten of his favourite walks, Clive will be walking in mid March/April with ten of his friends who have chosen their favourite walks in different parts of our area including Llangollen, Much Wenlock, Telford, Knockin, Trefonen and Ellesmere. Combining them will amount to around 100 miles, so great company, amazing views and no doubt sore feet to look forward to!
