Oswestry Team Tennis based in Cae Glas Park has already raised 60k towards our new clubhouse but needs a further 40k to achieve the 100k funding necessary to complete the project in late 2024. The clubhouse will support Oswestry team tennis (a registered charity) to be an even more key part of our community in bringing people together, improving social interaction and encouraging all ages and abilities to play tennis and have fun on and off court.

The photo above is of Clive outside the workshop which we are currently asking Shropshire Council for planning permission to demolish and replace with a modular building.

Following the success of his 170 mile sponsored walk round Anglesey and locally in 2023, he is doing this year’s walk over two weeks in April in a slightly different way by choosing thirteen of his favourite walks, amounting to just over 100 miles! His walks will also be to celebrate his recent 75th birthday and that he is still active playing tennis!

The one day activities will cover three walks in Anglesey and Nefyn and ten daily walks close to Oswestry, so that anyone can join him if they so wish, culminating in Oswald’s Trail on Saturday 20th April where our club will be holding a tournament that afternoon.
