Story
Surviving at University when you have low self esteem, impostor syndrome, along with a lack of direction and support is very challenging. It can feel like the biggest mountain to climb. I can still remember the way I felt when I graduated as a doctor from Newcastle University in 1980.
That's why I am supporting Newcastle University helping students to overcome these barriers. Their scheme focuses on climbing a virtual mountain. People who know me will understand why I'm going a step further, and turning theory into practice.
In early March I'm climbing up to 17,000 feet in the Himalayas to look down on Everest Basecamp and up to the biggest mountain in the world.
All funds raised go directly to support students who would otherwise struggle financially to complete their Degree at Newcastle University. Please support me in this challenge to help students reach the summit of their potential locally.
