From “Collateral beauty”: Collateral beauty is the "beautiful" side of collateral damage. This beauty arises upon the transformation of sorrow into hope, dark into light, suffering into love for others, and despair into compassion….

We all share at least 3 things: Love, Time and Death.

Love is everything, and we need to love and be loved.

We cannot escape Time.

And we fear Death.

United by this shared humanity, we have created a solidarity team and we call ourselves Climbing4kidswithcancer “C4KwC".

To the children and families that continuously display incredible strength, stamina, and courage, we have gathered to challenge ourselves climbing the iconic Montserrat mountain in Catalunya, Spain, to support parent-led charities that shine with stunning collateral beauty by supporting paediatric cancer research to find a cure and less harsh treatment to infants, children, and young patients with cancer.

Climbing brings perspective into our lives.

It sometimes involves an extreme mental and physical challenge that requires incredible commitment and trust to walk along the fine line of uncertainty /life.

It brings up the fear of death… and, worse, that of those we love!

It requires a continuous focus and determination to be fully present, moment to moment, to everything that is here, right now.

Our team C4KwC team [Alberto, Alejandra, Arnau, Christian, Joerg, Josep, Juampi, Karim, Pablo, Pep, Pere, Pilar, Rafa, Victor] would like you to help us with an economic contribution to support these charities.

Meet us at Santa Cecilia on the morning of the Saturday 3rd of June 2023 with your own challenge and/or in the afternoon/evening at the highest peak of the Montserrat mountain, at San Jeroni!!! El amor lo es todo, y necesitamos amar y ser amados.

No podemos escapar del Tiempo.

Unidos por esta humanidad compartida, hemos creado un equipo solidario y nos llamamos Climbing4kidswithcancer “C4KwC”.

Para los niños y las familias que continuamente muestran una fuerza, resistencia y coraje increíbles, nos hemos reunido para desafiarnos a nosotros mismos escalando la icónica montaña de Montserrat en Cataluña, España, para apoyar a las organizaciones benéficas dirigidas por padres que brillan con una belleza colateral impresionante al apoyar la investigación del cáncer pediátrico para encontrar una cura y un tratamiento menos severo para bebés, niños y pacientes jóvenes con cáncer.

La escalada trae perspectiva a nuestras vidas.

A veces implica un desafío mental y físico extremo que requiere un compromiso y una confianza increíbles para caminar por la delgada línea de la incertidumbre/vida.

Trae a colación el miedo a la muerte… y, peor aún, ¡a la de los que amamos!

Requiere un enfoque continuo y determinación para estar completamente presente, momento a momento, en todo lo que está aquí, ahora mismo.
