Story
As many of my friends and colleagues know, my daughter Lauren was diagnosed with brain cancer in 2017 at the age of 4. Lauren endured many months of surgeries, chemo and radiation therapy to treat her illness. It took a major toll on her and our entire family. Thankfully, Lauren has been on the road to recovery ever since and is now a smiley, 11-year-old girl. We pray every day for her continued recovery.
Going through this experience exposed me to the horrors that are brought on by childhood cancer. As a parent of a child with health issues, you're often left with a feeling of helplessness and vulnerability. All you can do in that position is advocate, pray and comfort your child to the best of your ability.
Going through this experience has given me a sense of duty to fight for these children. That is why I campaign every year for the MACC fund to help raise money to beat this disease. In April, i will be among a small group of golfers setting out to play 100 holes of golf, with proceeds going to the MACC Fund.
Thank you for supporting me and the MACC Fund in the fight against childhood cancer and related blood disorders! #HopeForKids
