Here at Cleveland Fire Brigade we have decided to do a charity walk to raise some much needed funds for the Bereavement Suite based on Delivery Suite at North Tees General Hospital.

Our walk is between all 14 fire stations within the Cleveland area. Walking 79 miles which will take approx 28 hours. Or so we hope 🤞🏻 We will be starting at 6am and aiming to finish before lunch the following day.

The hospital have 2 family rooms and 1 clinical room based on Delivery Suite, that are for the use of families going through the heartbreak of losing their baby/babies. These rooms are accessible via a private entrance meaning families do not have to suffer further heartache by walking through main Delivery Suite. This area of Delivery Suite is called the Snowdrop Suite.The Snowdrop Suite rooms are in need of some major refurbishment. They require new décor throughout, soft furnishings, art work, kitchenette facilities and a new intercom system.

The aim of completing this refurbishment is to provide families some comfort during this upsetting time in their life and allow them to spend time with their baby making memories in a comfortable 'home from home' environment. So we would really appreciate as much support as possible.
