Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page…so flying-on swiftly: on 27th July 2023 I will join nine other muppets who have volunteered to be strapped to the top of a Boeing Stearman bi-plane that will fly at a terrifying 140mph at about 1,000ft in the air over Cirencester! Really? I’ve decided to do this Wing Walking event even though my favourite ride at the fairground is the one firmly (or not) anchored to the ground – the dodgems! WHAT am I thinking??

I am of course thinking to raise as much funds as possible, in sponsorship money for the wonderful Hope House Hospice in Oswestry. They are a specialist nursing and support care service for terminally ill children and their families, from diagnosis, through bereavement and counselling.

There are over 750 children and their families in the Cheshire, Shropshire, North and Mid-Wales regions benefiting from Hope House Hospice, which ensures the families don’t face the pain and grief alone. Three local families each week face the agony of their child dying. Hope House currently needs to raise over £7.5m each year to enable them to help just one out of those three families. They want to achieve the challenge to raise an additional £2.4m each year by 2025 so they can help EVERY family in their region.
