Story
Laburnum Boat Club is very dear to my heart and where I started my journey to become a Childrens Occupational Therapist supporting young people to have fun and develop their functional independence. I am now running the Hackney Half to raise funds for this amazing community resource so please dig deep and help me hit my fund raising target.
Laburnum Boat Club was opened in 1983 by a group of local parents. We target disadvantaged, disabled and vulnerable young people and provide fun, challenging and accessible activities that support young people to be the best they can be.
As a small charity any money raised is vital to keep our gates open and resources available for the young people we work with. This year we're on a mission to raise funds to re-develop our A-Frame giving the young people a warm, safe space to learn and grow as well as raising money to keep our iconic gates open.
A £5 donation will provide access for a disadvantaged young person to access our Youth Club for a day; £100 allows us to provide a free year's membership for a young person to come along as much as they like.
Please help us reach our goal and help secure Laburnums future. To find out more about what we do and our redevelopment plans please visit our website at www.laburnumboatclub.com
