Story
The Challenge
On the 13th July 2024, we will embark on a nine-day trip trekking the challenging Machame Route to the summit of Mt Kilimanjaro – Africa's highest point.
At high altitude, it's an epic journey through varied terrain of lowland forest and dry mountain desert climbing to the summit; Uhuru Peak, rising 5896 metres above sea level.
Support Us
Raising funds for The Spirit Level Foundation, designed to capture the attitude, resolve and strength of character of Andrew John Dutton Mason, and create a platform that enables measurable impact.
The Foundation's main objective over the next 12 months is to raise funds for Bright Red, the charity that provide specialist blood cancer nurse cover across the NE, who were central figures in Andrew’s care at the Freeman Hospital in Newcastle.
Andrew epitomised challenging yourself to being the very best you can be. Whether that be through physically pushing his body to the extreme or learning new skills that could help him and those around him . The Spirit Level is built on this ethos, and we want to support those who are keen to get involved in whatever endeavours they undertake - in fact we actively encourage the weird and the wonderful.
The Challengers Team is a direct link to TSLF fundraising effort, and supports anyone taking on a challenge that they want to do under the TSLF ‘banner’.
Any support you can give to this great cause is very much appreciated!
