Story

Claire and Ali are taking on the 2024 TCS London Marathon to raise money for Coram IAC

From “No Hills in Brighton” to the London Marathon has been an emotional journey and finally we get to tick the bucket list. It’s the ultimate opportunity to run the London Marathon this year and we are so grateful to be given the opportunity from Coram IAC to be able to run together. Let’s hope there are No Hills in London!!

Coram is the UK's oldest children's charity and has been at the forefront of children’s social care since 1739. Today, we change lives, laws and systems to create better chances for children, now and forever. IAC joined the Coram group in July 2023 but remains an independently registered charity.

IAC was founded in 1997 to ensure that those choosing to adopt from abroad had access to the right information and services, and that children being matched with British families would be placed in safe, loving and supported homes.

IAC believes that children belong in families, and so wherever possible vulnerable children needing alternative care should be supported to thrive through adoption. We work with local authorities, and government departments here in England and abroad, to ensure that prospective adopters are screened, prepared, assessed and supported.
