Story

We have collectively cycled and ran 291.94 miles for Mollie so far.

Our friend, Mark Jameson, is running a marathon a month in 2026; the first three of which he is running for Mollie, to raise money for Reverse Rett:

January - The Rabbit Run 26.2 miles

February - Tel Aviv 26.2 miles

March - Castle to Castle 52 miles

April - as a stand alone - Death by 5km. 5km every 2.5 hours for 24 hours!!!

Our beautiful Mollie was diagnosed in Dec 2021 after we noticed she wasn’t hitting milestones and had began to lose skills. So much has been stollen from her since, but there is all to fight for. The UK Rett Syndrome community is at a pivotal moment; gene therapy trials in the US are showing exciting results and are progressing with urgency.

Reverse Rett works to accelerate treatments and a cure for Rett Syndrome; it provides recruitment and support for clinical trials and raises funds for research. These funds facilitate and accelerate the drug development process in the UK. Reverse Rett is essential to the regulatory process in the UK; the charity will demonstrate why these new and expensive treatments must be funded by NICE and made available on the NHS. When treatments arrive, Reverse Rett will be ready to ensure that every person with Rett Syndome in the UK can benefit from them.

Rett Syndrome is a neurological condition which most often strikes previously healthy little girls between their first and second birthday, leaving them with multiple disabilities and medical complexities for life.. but Change is within reach.
