Story
As some of you will be aware, I have MS which severely limits my ability to do physical tasks. But to help raise funds to save the cheetah from extinction, I am willing to take on the challenge! I will be walking a total of 7100 steps - to represent the total number of cheetahs left in the wild, IN THE WORLD! I hope to achieve this by splitting the total over the period for the challenge, from 16th to 24th September, just under 800 steps a day.
Please support me and give me the encouragement to hit my target!
Over the past 50 years, cheetahs have become extinct in at least 13 African countries. Across Africa, their numbers have plummeted from 100,000 at the turn of the 20th century, to less than 7,100 today (a loss of 93%). Their homeland, for which they rely on for food, shelter, and breeding, has reduced by 91% of its historic range.
Wild cheetahs are faced with extinction and the race is on to save them.
I'm part of Team Cheetah which is aiming to run, walk, race, hop, skip or jump! 7,100 km and raise a £ per km to help save this iconic animal.
Please donated whatever you can and help us win the Race for Cheetahs 2023!
