Story
Mike and I are taking on a 6oth birthday challenge, running across England from the Irish Sea at St Bees in Cumbria to the North Sea at Robin Hoods Bay in Yorkshire. We have 2 weeks to complete it and will cover 192 miles across the stunning countryside of the Lake District, Yorkshire Dales and North York Moors. The total elevation gain is 29,000 feet - about the height of Mount Everest!
Our youngest daughter, Sophie, and I both volunteer at Turning Tides cooking breakfasts at St Clare's Community hub for some lovely people who are without a home, so we hope to raise lots of money to support them.
Turning Tides is the largest provider of support for homeless men and women in West Sussex. For over 28 years, the charity has continued to grow and develop a wide range of services to meet the individual needs of those accessing their support.
Turning Tides believe that everyone has the right to a home and supports people at every stage in their journey out of homelessness. The charity brings together compassionate individuals and organisations who work tirelessly to transform the lives of people in the local community.
