In November 2025 I will be heading to India to trek in the Himalayan Foothills to raise as much as possible for Children's Hospice SW. My main sponsor is Charlie Bears who have kindly agreed to donate a huge amount towards my fundraising. They have suggested to keep me company on my trek and spur me on that I will be accompanied by Charlie Bears Cuddle Club Yeti! I will be doing the trek through Charity Challenge along with other people across the UK who will also be raising money for their chosen charities. We will be walking for 5 days between 5-7 hours a day and sleeping in either tents or basic lodge accommodation.

This is going to be an incredible challenge for me and for such a worthy cause. I love walking and and wanted to do something epic at the same time as raising money. Being a Mum myself was a big reason that I chose this charity as well as having trained as a paediatric nurse 20yrs ago and unfortunately due to personal reasons out of my control I had to give up the profession. Children's Hospice SW support Children and young people with life threatening and life limiting conditions by providing hospice care and professional family support services. The care offered at each of the 3 hospices is not just about medical and nursing support for sick children and young people but enriching the lives of them and their whole family.

With every step I take whilst on this challenge as well as the training will remind me of the courage and strength that the children and their families have to muster to deal with on a day to day basis. This is what will get me through knowing the money I raise will go towards supporting them in their own incredibly brave journeys.
