Story
As a family we are learning how to navigate the difficult dementia journey. Lots of you know my wonderful Dad John Ellis,.❤️ who was diagnosed with Dementia 4years ago.
Some of your families will have been affected by dementia and understand how utterly heartbreaking and upsetting it is for the person and their families. Mum continues to be an inspiration to us all with her strength, care and support that she offers to us all ❤️
I understand that you all have charities that you donate to however I’m raising money for the carers who are amazing people and offer a life-line for families struggling with Dementia.
I would be so grateful if you could donate a £1 as every little helps. Myself and Dexter are walking often over 1km to raise funds 🐾
This February, I'm walking 1 kilometre each day and raising funds to help ensure no family faces dementia alone. I'm taking on the challenge for Dementia UK, the specialist dementia nursing charity, and would be grateful for your support. Your donation, big or small, makes a difference.
Just £8 can cover the telephone costs for two families seeking support through Dementia UK's free Helpline.
£33 could fund a new dementia specialist Admiral Nurse to spend an hour helping a family in the community, offering practical solutions and emotional support to cope with their loved one’s distressed behaviour.
Thank you!
