Story
Sequins, glitter and fake tan at the ready… On the 11th of November I will be taking to the dance floor as part of a charity Strictly Come Dancing competition for Stick ‘n’ Step. I’ve been paired up with a professional dancer and am having weekly lessons in the lead up to the ballroom event. This is hugely outside my comfort zone but a great challenge and I’m very happy to do this for a wonderful charity.
Stick ‘n’ Step is an amazing charity that enables, inspires, and supports children with cerebral palsy and their families. Xander has been attending weekly for the past year and it’s really helped him grow in confidence and skills. As well as allowing us as a family have invaluable advice and support.
Stick ‘n’ Step supports children and young people with cerebral palsy up to the age of 25 through the provision of free weekly conductive education (CE) sessions. Sessions are delivered by highly skilled professionals from specialist centres in Wallasey and Runcorn and are designed to help each child reach their personal potential in terms of mobility, confidence, and independence.
Stick ‘n’ Step receives no government funding, and relies greatly on supporters. The sponsorship money raised will help to fund and deliver services to over 100 families across the North West each year so let’s raise as much as we can!
