Story
In memory of my mum, and to say thank you to the hospice, I have signed myself up to fundraise for them throughout 2024 & 2025.
No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted. I hope to make a difference by fundraising for St Michael's Hospice (Hereford). The Conquer Kilimanjaro challenge will be the hardest fundraising challenge that i would have completed to date. At 5895m high, this mountain will have lots of challenges... including the effects of altitude pushing me well out of my comfort zone.
My brave, beautiful mum lost her battle to secondary breast cancer in July 2024. My mum had only just turned 58 and should have had a lifetime in front of her. Sadly, it wasn't meant to be.
The care and kindness St Michael's Hospice (Hereford) provided to my wonderful mum, dad, me, and my brothers brought comfort during the hardest days, and for that, we will always be grateful.
This incredible organisation relies heavily on donations to continue its essential work, helping families navigate the most challenging times. That is why fundraising events like this are so important. The target also includes raising funds for the trip costs but I will also be contributing regularly to cover some of that.
Any donation, no matter the size, will make a difference. Your support will help St Michael’s Hospice continue to provide support at a time when loved ones need it the most.
I cannot thank the hospice enough for the difference they made ❤
