Walking 10,000 steps everyday in July for Johnny ♥️
Johnny is a deaf & blind 3 year old cat. He came to us from another rescue due to his desire to be outside the hope was for him to enter our Retirement Village. A closely supervised trial highlighted he needs his own outdoor space.

Story

Johnny came to us as whilst in a foster home with another rescue they realised he was desperate to be outside. It was not possible to provide him with a safe outdoor space so they asked if he could go into our Retirement Village. Johnny is deaf and blind and when in new spaces he has a mapping walk.

We carefully supervised him and we quickly assessed that he needs a safe outdoors space of his own where he can climb and use his other senses to experience his surroundings.

We are going to create a safe enclosed outdoor space which has climbing opportunities via shelves and ramps along with dens and cat safe plants. We will focus on providing him items that will engage his other senses and provide him with a enriching and enjoyable space.
