Story
On the 26th November we as a family will climb Snowdon in memory of our dad and grandad. We have chosen this date as this is the day before his birthday where he would have been looking to retire
Dad spent 11 weeks on ITU where he was treated with kindness, compassion and dignity. The care he received was second to none
Dad loved to be in his garden at home and enjoyed growing his own fruit and vegetables
The ITU staff tried their very best to take dad to the garden as much as they could but due to the majority of the garden being covered in stones they were unable to take his bed into the garden, instead he had to lie partly in the hospital corridor
His aim on discharge was to raise as much money as he could to revamp the garden to give other end of life patients the opportunity to spend time with their loved ones, providing them with dignity and privacy at such a difficult time
We have therefore decided to walk Snowdon for his birthday and raise as much as we can to enable his wish
Any help would be gratefully received
