For those who know me, will know that I enjoy taking on a challenge in support of charity, and this is the ultimate challenge for me. I have never done anything of this nature before, so I am nervous but excited in equal measure.
In the summer of 2025, I’ll embark on an extraordinary challenge: cycling The Route, where a team of female amateur cyclists will conquer every stage (9 days/stages) of the 2025 Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift (TdFFAZ), just one day ahead of the professionals. We begin on the 25 July and finish on 2 August 2025.
The event takes new heights with a 1,165km route that crosses through four regions and a total elevation gain of 17,240 metres. That equates to climbing Mount Everest twice!
This epic journey isn’t just about pushing myself physically and mentally - I am hoping to make a very tangible difference. Cure Leukaemia is an amazing charity, and I am honored to be raising vital funds to help ATICUS bring some hope to children and their families in their fight against cancer.
Every pound raised will go directly to Cure Leukaemia, the official UK charity partner of the TdFFAZ. These funds will support the revolutionary ATICUS Network, breaking barriers in clinical trial access for children battling blood cancer and bringing hope to families across the UK.
Any donation you can make to support my efforts will be truly appreciated. No donation is too big or too small….literally every penny helps!
I will try to post some updates through my training and during the event itself to keep you up to date on my progress 🚴🏻♂️ 🏔️ 💜 xx
