Story
Jamies Farm acts as a catalyst for change, enabling 11-16 year olds, who at risk of social and academic exclusion, to thrive, and engage more fully in education and life beyond.
We do this through an
immersive five-day residential and follow-up programme addressing the root causes of exclusion.
In small groups of 10-12, young people live and work on our farms alongside 2-3 of their teachers, supported by the Jamies Farm team. Mobile phones and sugary snacks are replaced with wellies, homecooked meals and daily walks in the countryside.
A combination of Farming, Family, Therapy & Legacy sees young people take on real jobs with tangible outcomes, within a supportive family environment that encourages cooperation, boosts self-esteem and builds positive relationships.
