Story

With your help Addenbrooke's Charitable Trust want to change the story of cancer!

Funds raised through the 2024 Dragon Boat Festival will enable us to build the new Cambridge Cancer Research Hospital.

The Cambridge Cancer Research Hospital will herald a transformative approach to cancer. Situated at the heart of Cambridge’s thriving life sciences eco-system, the brand-new hospital will unite the NHS, academia and industry in a powerful collaboration that will bring scientific discoveries and technological advances from the lab bench to the patient bedside as rapidly as possible. The Cambridge Cancer Research Hospital will pioneer new ways to detect cancer earlier and treat it in a more personalised way. The breakthroughs and innovations that we deliver will change the way cancer is treated far beyond Cambridge, benefiting people living with cancer across the UK and globally.

Thank you for help us improve care for patients today at Addenbrooke’s, and for generations to come

About the charity

We want to ensure that every patient at Addenbrooke's and the Rosie hospitals experiences the highest quality of care available. We raise funds for cutting edge technology, additional specialist staff and extra comforts for patients, over and above what is possible with NHS funding alone.
