Story

On Saturday 14th September, an Ashden team are taking on the Thames Bridges Challenge, walking 25km across all 16 of London's historic bridges, in memory of Ruby Fuller. Ruby was the daughter of Emma Jones, who is part of the Ashden Cities Team. Ruby was a passionate eco-warrior, pictured here on Westminster Bridget on her way to a climate strike. She died of blood cancer (lymphoma and leukaemia) aged just 18. She asked for money to be raised in her memory to find better treatments for blood cancer. Every penny we raise will go directly to supporting research.

The 16 bridges we'll be crossing are:

1. Putney Bridge (where we'll start)

2. Fulham Railway Bridge

3. Wandsworth Bridge

4. Battersea Bridge

5. Albert Bridge

6. Chelsea Bridge

7. Vauxhall Bridge

8. Lambeth Bridge

9. Westminster Bridge

10. Hungerford Bridge

11. Waterloo Bridge

12. Blackfriars Bridge

13. Millennium Bridge

14. Southwark Bridge

15. London Bridge

16. Tower Bridge (where we'll finish)

If you tell us your favourite bridge when you make a donation, you'll have a chance to win a painting of that bridge by the painter Stewart Walton, the grandfather of Ruby's cousins (Instagram - @stewart_walton)
