Story

Thank you for visiting my Just giving page.

I’m running the London Marathon to raise funds for Stickler Syndrome UK, a cause that’s very personal to me. My son, Oliver, has Stickler Syndrome, a rare genetic condition that affects prenatal development, vision, hearing, joints, and more. Oliver had complications at birth including cleft palate and a congenital heart defect. As a result underwent multiple procedures and three operations in his first eighteen months.

Thanks to the fantastic care we’ve received at the National Highly Specialised Service for Stickler Syndrome at Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge, Oliver has benefited from expert treatment and support.

The Stickler Syndrome UK Charity supports individuals and families affected by Stickler Syndrome by offering guidance, raising awareness, and providing information about the condition. They advocate for better healthcare access, fund research into the disorder, and work to connect the community through support groups and events. Their mission includes improving diagnosis, treatment, and understanding of Stickler Syndrome while empowering those living with it.

Your donation will help:

• Offer resources and support to families affected by Stickler Syndrome.

• Fund research into the causes, treatments, and management of Stickler Syndrome to improve long-term care.

• Connect individuals to a supportive community.

Please donate to help make a difference for those living with Stickler’s Syndrome. Every contribution counts!

Thank you for your support!
