Story
Mum is suffering with Alzheimer's disease. She is also coping with pain and discomfort from a broken hip and shoulder due to a recent fall, and also a procedure on her nose to remove skin cancer - both of which are linked to her condition and delayed diagnosis, due in part to Covid but also her late husbands denial of the condition.
I will be attempting to drag myself around an Ironman 70.3 (1.2 mile sea swim, 56 mile cycle, 13.1 mile run) in and around Weymouth, Dorset on Sunday 15th September in an attempt to raise money for the Alzheimer's Society to aid the great work they do. Any donations will be gratefully received.
At the Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives.
We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future.
