Please Support Our Ride + Stride for Wiltshire's Historic Churches!

Dear Friends,

On Saturday, 14th September 2024, we will be participating in the **Wiltshire Ride + Stride** event, an annual tradition that brings together people of all ages and denominations to support our county's historic churches. This event has been making a difference since 1984, raising over £1.6 million to preserve these beautiful and significant buildings.

**What is Ride + Stride?**

Ride + Stride is a sponsored event where participants can cycle, walk, ride horses, or even use mobility scooters to visit as many churches as possible between 10:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. on the day of the event. It's a day of exploration, community, and heritage, with a flexible route that allows each participant to chart their own course across Wiltshire’s stunning countryside.

**Why Are We Participating?**

Churches are more than just places of worship—they are historical landmarks that have stood the test of time, holding the stories of our communities within their walls. By participating in Ride + Stride, We aim to help raise funds for these churches, ensuring they can be preserved for future generations to appreciate and enjoy.

Half of the money we raise will go directly to Christ Church, Swindon, while the other half will support the Wiltshire Historic Churches Trust in their vital work to maintain and restore these treasured buildings across the county.

**How Can You Help?**

We are seeking sponsorship from church-goers, friends, family, and colleagues. You can choose to sponsor us per church we visit or donate a lump sum. Every contribution, no matter how small, will make a difference.

By supporting our Ride + Stride, you'll be helping to keep Christ Church Swindon and Wiltshire's churches standing strong for years to come.
