Story
Between now and 04 June 2023, as part of RE:ACT's Team Resuscitate, I will be raising money for RE:ACT Disaster Response by completing as many miles as possible (mostly jogging, cycling and a little swimming). I'll also be completing, I hope, the RE:ACT Disaster Response International Deployment and Operational Leadership courses in order to directly support RE:ACT. If you feel able to support this wonderful charity, it will be greatly appreciated. Many thanks.
RE:ACT is an emergency and crisis response charity, operating in the UK and overseas. https://www.re-act.org.uk/. Most recently, RE:ACT has been working in support of the UN Disaster Assessment and Coordination Team (UNDAC) and the Turkish Disaster Management Agency (AFAD) providing humanitarian support across the Hatay region in Turkey, after the recent earthquakes.
We repurpose the hard-earned skills and experience of military veterans, blue-light responders and others and turn them into exceptionally agile and resilient humanitarians, capable of rapidly deploying when people need immediate and urgent relief. We provide rapid humanitarian assistance where it's most needed, protecting the vulnerable and supporting critical infrastructure and frontline services.
