We support stroke survivors of working age to reclaim their lives.

Story

Just over two years ago, a few days before Christmas, my dad had a big stroke. By a miracle, he survived. But the stroke left him with severe brain damage and he has been working hard every day at his rehab facility to relearn how to do all he used to do, from getting dressed to eating food to talking.

It's been a really difficult time for us as a family, processing all that has happened and dealing with the aftermath. But Dad has always inspired me in so many ways, especially now as he pushes himself even while things are really hard. And so, I wanted to push myself. And that's why I've signed up for the Great Manchester Run on 26th May.

I'm going to be raising money for Different Strokes, a charity that provides support for younger stroke survivors and their families, and has been a great help to us during this time, and if you'd like to support me in that way I'd be hugely grateful.
