Story
In July I will join 60 people as we take on an epic cycle from Waterloo Station London to Waterloo Belgium to raise funds for Waterloo Uncovered.
The 222 mile, 3 day cycle will pass through Dover, Dunkirk, Ypres and Kortrijk before arriving on the Waterloo battlefield, where the charity Waterloo Uncovered have been helping veterans achieve recovery through discovery since 2015.
Waterloo Uncovered combines a world-class archaeology project at the site of the Battle of Waterloo with support for the military community, using discovery to aid recovery. In addition to their on-site excavation programme, the charity runs four online programmes to provide support to veterans regardless of their location or physical abilities.
All WU programmes feature year round welfare support, focussing on the five key areas: Recovery (mental and physical), Wellbeing, Transition into Civilian Life, Education and Employment.
