Camino de Santiago

We have 12 fantastic supporters trekking the final 67km of the famous Camino Frances from 30th April – 4th May.

Story

In memory of my late fiancé, Fran, who passed away in July 2021 aged 33 following a 2 year cancer journey, I will be trekking the Camino de Santiago to raise funds for our local Hospice - Hospice in the Weald.

The Hospice looked after Fran for the last two weeks of her life, allowing me to focus on being her fiancé rather than her carer and provided a calming space for us all for the final stage of her journey. The Hospice in the Weald provides compassionate, individualised, holistic and supportive care for all patients, and their loved ones, in West Kent and East Sussex. As a local charity not part of the NHS they need to raise £8m each year to ensure their services can continue.
