Honor The Legacy. Climb for a cause.

I am excited to invite you to join me in spirit as I work towards this meaningful goal. I joined the 2024 Chris Hooyman Memorial Climb Team to support a great cause and to attempt to reach the summit of Mt. Rainier this June. I am trying to raise $4000 for the total $36,000 team goal.

This intrepid five-day climb is an incredible feat that honors the legacy and memory of Mountaineer Chris Hooyman and his lifelong passion for providing youth outdoor education. I invite you to make a donation for our 2024 Chris Hooyman Memorial Climb, which will support the YMCA of Greater Seattle’s BOLD & GOLD program.

I strongly believe in supporting this cause. As a youth I was privileged to have many outdoor experiences that positively shaped my life. Now I want to help ensure youth in this region get the same opportunities. Resources we raise will enable kids to get outside and build life skills while connecting with nature.

A weeklong BOLD & GOLD expedition is roughly $1,500. One day of a trip is $187. Money ensures kids who need it can show up with nothing and be on a weeklong outdoor adventure. Amazing! All amounts make a difference.
