For 70 years it has helped pioneer ways to prevent disease and develop treatments benefiting millions of people. It has helped to fund research to beat polio in the UK, develop ultrasound, fight meningitis and prevent stillbirths and I gave it a boost with funds from my Vyking Ride in the Yorkshire Dales last June with Peter.
