Story
In 2020 just going into lock down my friend and business partner, Andrew Porter was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer which he has been battling with now for nearly 4 years. Seeing him and his wife going through the journey with such bravery and practicality has been an inspiring and upsetting experience in equal measures.
Last time I ran a marathon I was in my early thirties and perhaps not suprizingly another 2 decades of living hasn't made the training any easier so for me this is a genuinely tough assignment which will most likely see me "running" for the best part of 5 hours on the day.
So please dig deep and give some cash (small or big) to this great charity....
The Bone Cancer Research Trust is the only charity dedicated to this disease, it is a small but national charity based in Leeds, UK. They fund ground-breaking research, life-saving awareness initiatives and provide dedicated and trustworthy information and support to patients and all their loved ones... All without any government funding. They rely 100% on people like you supporting their work through donations.
Their work has never been so crucial and vital. Figures from the National Cancer Research Institute (NCRI) have shown that research into primary bone cancer continues to be critically underfunded, with the main UK charities allocating just 0.02%
