We are taking on the Mighty Hike for Macmillan in Northumbria in memory of my wife Jenny Allwood, who passed away on 28th October 2023 having succumbed to an aggressive form of bladder cancer diagnosed earlier in 2023.

Jenny had taken part in 2 previous mighty hikes in the Peak District and was targeting her next adventure in the North-East until the devastating news of her illness and terminal diagnosis.

As a family with the support of friends we will be walking as Jenny's Jam(s)boree Journey to celebrate her own fundraising for the most worthy of causes and to say thank-you to the nurses of MacMillan who provided the help we needed when we needed it; and the dignity with which they treated us all in the most difficult of times.

Please help us raise much needed funds, whatever you can spare will make such a big difference to so many others, who like us will never forget those special people.
