Story
It is possible to end new HIV cases in the UK by 2030 – but not without a lot of hard work. I’m challenging myself by walking 2030 miles in one year to raise £2030 to get us closer to this goal and saying “HIV, time’s up”!
Together we can test and find those undiagnosed and support those diagnosed to be on life-saving treatment. People living with HIV on treatment can’t pass it on. Together we can call time on HIV transmission.
My official challenge start date was the 1st April and by the 31st of March I WILL have walked 2030 miles- that’s 6 miles day…which is a big ask for 365 days!
So, to help me on my quest, I’m going to include a few *extra* challenges- just for fun-
First up is the 2/3 Peaks Challenge on the 5th and 6th of June with Tackle HIV and Welsh Rugby Legend Gareth Thomas, where I will be taking on Snowdon and Scafell Pike- together a whopping 24 miles.
To date I’ve already walked 358 miles, which means I have 1,672 miles to go…and these two peaks will certainly put in a dent in my goal.
I've seen the incredible support that our fundraisers give us - through marathon running, baking cakes, selling red ribbons and much more. So now it's my turn!
Every step towards 2030 miles and every generous donation I receive brings us closer to our goal of making the 2030 goal a reality. Thank you so much in advance for your support, we can't do it without you.
